Emblems

 We live in emblems of moments, emblems of time and emblems of memories. Life is so beautiful. Sure, the world is full of crazy, unpredictability and uncertainty, but I can dream and imagine endlessly of how good the world will one day be. There is peace in chaos, knowing that if you cannot find the light; you can become the light. There is opportunity in burning your toast - a chance for you to try again. There is hope in a loss: hands to hold tighter, smiles to make wider and laughs to laugh harder. When's the last time you've embraced a stranger? A simple smile, a gentle nod ... you pass hundreds of people everyday on your journey, but as you cross paths, you become a part of theirs. You work hard at work, do you know what you're working for? You sell hours of your life every day, is this what you want it to be? I want my career of choice to bring me surprising turns of excitement, an abundance of happiness and a staircase of learning. Does that make sense? I want my gifted day to mean something. I want to help the world, not just my neighbor. I want to be better. Always. I want to guide my baby sisters. I want to be the definition of try. I want to be scared, I want to be sad, I want to be contagiously happy. I want to feel. I want to understand. As of late, I've comprehended what it means to really understand those around you. Nothing is ever what it really seems and sometimes words are not what they really mean. It takes a big heart and a patient mind to feel your own emotions and to acknowledge the other party's, even if their opinion makes the least bit of sense. We can choose. We can choose to be open minded, to be kind, to be compassionate, to be there; even if it makes being there in utter silence. Sometimes, silence is good. Just being. I am so grateful for being the daughter of a gracious Heavenly Father. For knowing that despite all of my faults, He still loves me eternally and believes in me. As intelligence, as a spirit, as a mortal being, as me ... I will always choose to be more than I am at this very moment. I want you, whoever you are that is reading this to know that you are more than what you were yesterday, more than what you will be today, and more than what you will be tomorrow. You are beautiful, you are divine. Follow your heart and be kind. Be kind to those that are the least close to it, they need it the most. Be patient, be patient along with me. We are not perfect, by any means. Look at it as a reason to try, not as an excuse to make errors. Your mom, she's a daughter of a King. Your bus driver, he's the son of a King. Your teacher is someone's grandson. Think of everyone in your life as someone precious and treat them with the respect you wish you'd get at all moments in your life. If you have regrets, change that. I believe in change. I believe in your agency, I believe in mine. Live your life in the happiest moment of your life -- whether that was graduation, the day you got married, the day you conquered that sickness, the day you made your first hole in mini golf. Live in that joyous moment in all of the moments of your life.
